The next two installments of the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles trilogy are set to release within less than a month of each other.
Chronicles India releases on January 12th while Chronicles Russia will be out on February 9th, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. And from February 9th onwards, all three episodes will be available as a trilogy pack for the three platforms listed above via both retail and digital download. PlayStation Vita owners, meanwhile, can get the trilogy pack from April 5th onwards.
Like their predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China, these two episodes are also 2.5D, stand on their own in terms of setting, art style, story, and assassin – but are connected, narratively.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India is set in 1841, putting players smack in the middle of rising tension between the Sikh Empire and the British-owned East India Company. Arbaaz Mir, the Indian Assassin, is charged with discovering what role a Master Templar plays in the events and steal back an item that used to belong to the Assassins, while simultaneously protecting his loved ones.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia, meanwhile, is set in 1918 and puts players in the shoes of Nikolai Orelov, who needs to complete one last mission for the Order before he’s allowed to leave Russia with his family. His task is to infiltrate the house where the Tsar’s family is being held by the Bolsheviks and steal an artifact that the Assassins and Templars have been fighting over for centuries.
